Issues

This candidacy has its birth and is rooted in the desire to serve the needs of all Georgia citizens involved in the production of food and fiber.
It also targets that production to make it profitable for its producers while being affordable to the end consumer.
Products from other countries do not always meet our standards of quality and safety, and there is a growing propensity toward less expensive, imported agricultural products. This trend must be reversed! Our state has an abundance of natural resources, excellent climate and human resources to produce our consumable needs at competitive prices. Our producers have always taken great pride in their products... far exceeding established standards: therefore, it naturally follows we should buy locally produced goods.
Georgia has an excellent road and rail system connecting producers to the finest seaport facilities in the world. These facilities must be utilized by Georgia farmers to ship their products around the globe...the missing element in this equation thus far is leadership!
During your visit to this website please observe: this is the "tried and tested" candidate for the office of Georgia Commissioner of Agriculture. The experience level began with Darwin Carter's rearing on a farm in rural Bacon County, Georgia continuing through his myriad of agricultural experience leading to the management of worldwide multi-billion dollar budgeted USDA programs for president Ronald Reagan.
